Bats at the LibraryMusic

•  Can you write a melody for Bats at the Library?  Is it singable?  Is there a chorus? (hint:  look at the italicized text—how is it different from the rest of the text, and why?)
•  Rhythm:  clap hands or rhythm sticks along with a reading of the book.  Where does the rhythm change?  Was that an accident, or intentional?  Why?
•  Write a short song about your favorite book (idea:  listen to Bobby McFerrin’s lightning-quick medley of “The Wizard of Oz” as a prompt).
•  What music might you use as a soundtrack to Bats at the Library?  Would there be any changes of tempo/ mood in the songs?  Where in the story do you think the changes would go?
